Product Innovation

In all of the projects shown we were lead designers who created the design and, in many cases, the concept for the product. As part of an innovation team our influence went far beyond what is normally the remit of design.

Designing new products is a continual process of innovation. It both challenges and creates. It balances user understanding, visual language alternatives, incremental and original ideas and new paradigms; it tests and assesses through model making and prototyping; challenges are given and taken by engineering, marketing and manufacturing, materials and processes… it results in new products but also innovation knowledge
